To help your body build more muscle as you weight train, you will also want to consume enough amounts of protein as well. The general advice is to consume 0.6 grams of protein for every pound you weight. So if you weight 200 pounds, you will need to consume at least 120 grams of protein a day.
The most important thing to keep in mind when it comes to getting fit is to be consistent. You can get on the best diet and workout program but if you don’t stick to it long enough to achieve your goals, you’re obviously going to fail to reach your goals.
If you hate doing cardio, then don’t do cardio. Find something else that you actually enjoy. There’s something out there for everyone. Will you always being the most efficient activity? Probably not but at least you won’t dread working out which is the biggest reason why most people quit.
